She has set up a food bank drop off point at our St Neots HQ, to help support those who are struggling through the continued cost-of-living crisis.

On 18th July, inews.co.uk reported that Citizens Advice is now referring almost 700 people a day to food banks, which is an increase of 300 people per day, in comparison to last year’s figures.

Morgan Wild, Head of Policy at Citizens Advice, told iNews there are now staggering numbers of people seeking help from Citizens Advice because they simply can’t keep up with rising bills. For many, the food shop isn’t stretching as far; it’s costing more to top up the meter; and increasing numbers of people are ending each month in the red. Many have already turned to Citizens Advice for help with food banks because they’ve gone days without food in their cupboards.

In the first week of August, our team at Lifesure donated 118 non-perishable items, which could make up circa 10 food parcels were delivered to impoverished families. As the situation shows no sign of improving in the foreseeable future, the food bank drop off point will remain a permanent fixture in our office.
